Definition:

Photophobia is an abnormal sensitivity or intolerance to light leading to intense eye discomfort, tearing and blinking and other reactions aimed at avoiding light. It can be due to eye inflammation, trauma to the outer surface of the eye, migraine or the use of certain eye drops.
