The material content of the introduction on Level 3 is directly sourced from
" Human exposure to selected phthalates in Denmark", a report published in 2003 by The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA).

The material contents of the texts on Level 3 of all the questions is directly sourced from the following Summary Risk Assessment Reports (RAR) published by the ECB (European Chemicals Bureau):

For DIDP and DINP:

•  RAR 041 on Di-"isodecyl" Phthalate (DIDP) (2003)
•  RAR 046 on Di-"isononyl" Phthalate (DINP) (2003)

For DBP:

•  RAR 003 on Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) (2003) including Addendum (2004)

The Levels 1 & 2 were written by Susan Barlow in collaboration with the GreenFacts editorial team.

The first draft of this Digest was produced by Sue Barlow in November 2004 on the basis of a canvas prepared by the GreenFacts Editorial Team.

Second draft

The second draft of this Digest was produced in July 2005 by Sue Barlow after review by the GreenFacts Editorial Team.

Preliminary and Peer review

A preliminary version of this Digest was put online in October 2005, and a final draft will be prepared following the pre-review by experts from environmental and industrial organizations (see our  pre review form) and peer review by 3 independent scientists selected by the GreenFacts Scientific Board (see our  peer review).

Publication

Final publication was authorised by the president of the Scientific Board on 27 December 2005.
