Polymorphic light eruption

Polymorphic light eruption is the most common of the photodermatoses. This common rash occurs in spring or early summer as a result of exposure to sunlight. The causes are not completely understood. It may be an allergic reaction following the interaction of sunlight with proteins in the skin.
