1. Sources for this Digest

Most of the texts on Level 3 is sourced from the  Executive Summary (Chapter 1) of the "Global Assessment of the state-of-the-science of Endocrine Disruptors " a leading scientific report produced by a large international panel of scientists and published in 2002 by the IPCS (International Programme on Chemical Safety).

Approved for publication by the GreenFacts Scientific Board.

3. Digest Publication History

First draft

The first draft of this Endocrine Disruptors Digest was produced by Dr Sue Barlow on 20 June 2003 and posted on-line in July 2003.

Second draft

The draft was revised and commented by experts from environmental organizations and industry in summer 2003.

Preliminary and Peer review

The final draft was peer reviewed by 3 independent scientists selected by the GreenFacts Scientific Board (see our  peer review form) and final corrections was added by the author under the supervision of the GreenFacts Scientific Board.

Publication

Final publication was authorized by the President of the GreenFacts Scientific Board in March 2004.

No update or revision at present.

Translations

Translations into French (Level 1 and 2), Spanish (Level 1 and 2) and German (Level 1) completed as drafts in April 2004.
