- The Fisheries Department of FAO (FAO Fisheries) aims to promote sustainable development of responsible fisheries and to contribute to food security:

- The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture (SOFIA) is the flagship publication of the FAO Fisheries department. The 2004 edition published in early 2005 was summarized by GreenFacts.
