The material content of the texts on Level 3 is directly sourced from " Neuroscience of Psychoactive Substance Use and Dependence; Summary, a report of the WHO (World Health Organization) produced in 2004 by a large international panel of scientists.

The Levels 1 & 2 were written by Marisa Fernandez in collaboration with the GreenFacts editorial team.

3. Digest Publication History

The GreenFacts publication process is designed to ensure as high a degree of objectivity as possible.

First draft

The first draft of this Digest was produced by Dr Marisa Fernandez on 29 June 2006 on the basis of a canvas prepared by the GreenFacts Editorial Team.

Second draft

The second draft of this Digest was produced on 3 August 2006 by Dr Marisa Fernandez after review by the GreenFacts Editorial Team.

Preliminary and Peer review

The final draft of this Digest was produced on 15 September 2006 by Dr Marisa Fernandez after pre-review by an expert from an health organization (see our  peer review form) and peer review by 3 independent scientists selected by the GreenFacts Scientific Board (see our  peer review form). These reviewers included for instance Dr Susan Rotzinger, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. Final corrections were added under the supervision of the GreenFacts Scientific Board in September 2006.

Publication

Final publication was authorized by the President of the GreenFacts Scientific Board on 25 September 2006.
