The material content of the texts on Level 3 is directly sourced from IPCC "Fourth Assessment Report (AR4)", produced in 2007 by a large international panel of scientists and more specifically, it is a summary of the reports by the three Working Groups:

Part 1, (Questions 1-3) contains the full text of the Working Group I report
"Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis, Summary for Policymakers", 

Part 2, (Questions 4-6) contains the full text of the Working Group II report
"Climate Change 2007: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability, Summary for Policymakers", 

Part 3, (Questions 7-9) contains the full text of the Working Group III report
"Climate Change 2007: Mitigation of Climate Change, Summary for Policymakers" 

The summaries presented in Levels 1 & 2 were written by the GreenFacts editorial team.

The GreenFacts publication process is designed to ensure as high a degree of impartiality as possible.

First draft

The first draft of this study was produced by the GreenFacts editorial team on 15 February 2007 for Part 1, 14 May 2007 for Part 2 and 13 June 2007 for Part 3.

Preliminary and Peer review

The final draft of this study was produced by GreenFacts in March 2007 for Part 1, and in August 2007 for Parts 2 and 3, after peer review by independent scientists selected by the GreenFacts Scientific Board (see our  peer review form).

These reviewers included for instance:

• Guy Brasseur - Atmospheric Chemistry Division, National Center for Atmospheric Research.
• André Berger - Institut d'Astronomie et de Géophysique Georges Lemaître, Université catholique de Louvain.
• Kirsten Halsnaes - Risø National Laboratory, Technical University of Denmark.

Final corrections were added under the supervision of the GreenFacts Scientific Board in August 2007.

Publication

Final publication was authorized by the President of the GreenFacts Scientific Board on 27 March 2007 for Part 1, and on 23 August 2007 for Parts 2 and 3.
